Does everybody need to know you?
Airplanes are often mistaken as a star at night. They blink like stars until you realize they are moving. Sometimes you often think that you are belonged to a crowd because you are doing the same thing as they are. Often times you thought you are them, but you are you. It may sound cliché but come on, that’s the greatest thing ever! Maybe you haven’t found yourself yet, you haven’t recognized yourself yet. Or maybe you had already but you just shrug the fact off. Do you know what makes us individuals? Because we are all different. Being different is what makes us individuals. We have our own goals, responsibility, rights, and needs.
I had this conversation with my boyfriend before. We were walking down the street talking to each other. “You know people are unique. We have different personalities but we don’t know about that because we choose to ignore and not to be deeply involved with that person.” I quoted. Out of these billions of people, we choose who we want to spend our time with. We choose who to talk with. And we choose who to understand. But hey look, you don’t beg someone to notice you. You DON’T need to prove them you are worth it. Because no matter what they and you think, you are ALWAYS worth everything. You are worth understanding. And there will be always that person who will understand you, like it or not.
Let’s talk about social media. Social media is the number one place to find recognition. You post pictures, videos and you might gain compliments. I won’t lie, that can be fun. But when you start looking for the number of likes that you gain. The good words to hear. That becomes toxic. That becomes a DRUG. I am one of this "social media generation". We often get hard on ourselves because we can’t get what we want. We wish perfection. But hey, as I’ve told you, we are human we make mistakes, we might fail.
But do you know what’s positive about not being recognized? You don’t have an obligation to explain. They can judge you however they want and you may laugh at them because you know the truth.
So, does it really matters if everyone knows you? The answer is NO. We don’t need to be known by everyone. We don't need to be recognized. All we need is to know who we are and what we are capable of. After all, the best version of you is the one who is true to thyself. That’s the time all things will complement your plans.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
